Digital Millennium Copyright Act Notice

Card Mania Legends wants to help avid fantasy fans with creating digital cards to be shared with other likeminded people. These cards are about mythical creatures and thus need an image to go with. That's why users, who don't create drawings themselves, often turn to the Internet to find inspiring artwork from amazing artists.

Neither the site nor the users earn any money by doing so – it's "by the players, for the players" principle, meaning it's purely for the joy of sharing beautiful art, without any hint of malicious stealing or other bad intentions.

Of course, no copyright infringement is excusable. If you, as an artist, see that your copyright has been infringed upon, read below on what you can do to have the material(s) in question be taken down.

Before reporting

Before reporting, please consider if the manner of use for your material on this site falls under fair use or not. Again, the intent is not to steal your hard work, but to share beautiful art in a small circle without self-profit and also give it some additional context (such as a fictional background story). Users are asked to attach a link to the original author for any image that does not belong to them.

If you are willing to agree with fair use principle, but the user who uploaded your artwork has failed to attach a link to your portfolio or the web page they found it from, then send a notification to cards@dml-planner.eu with both the link to the card that uses your material on this site and also the corresponding link to your portfolio/website. The card will then be updated with the provided link, showing you as the author.

Reporting copyright infringement

If your artwork is used without permission and you feel it doesn't fall under fair use, please send a formal DMCA complaint to cards@dml-planner.eu with a list of direct URLs of pages where the copyright infringement has occurred.

Contact an intellectual property lawyer if you need help with compiling such a document, or you can submit a takedown form on dmca.com website.

What happens after I submit my complaint?

If the DMCA complaint is filled out correctly, it will be reviewed to make sure the request is valid and if so, the content in question will be taken down within 48 hours after receiving the notification.
